Installation Process
The information that you supply in the “Getting Started” section of our website will help us to determine if your client's location is a good candidate for a solar system. If so, you can count on the Solar Works professionals to design, implement and service a system with unparalleled expertise.
In order to design a high performance system for you, Solar Works will need to understand the unique aspects of your client's site. We will assess the proposed location through an engineering review of roof slope, orientation, shading, panel location, power distribution and aesthetics.
Solar Works will provide a financial analysis based on your client's estimated power utilization levels and costs. The analysis will include system performance expectations, energy cost savings over the life of the system and the positive environmental impact of the system. The review will include all applicablerebates and tax credits from both State and Federal incentive programs.
Should the project move forward, Solar Works' engineering department will review the on-site analysis information and create a detailed engineering specification for you and your client to review. We will recommend a system that delivers optimum value and economic benefits. Our professionally prepared designs will ensure timely building department applications and permit approvals—all facilitated by Solar Works, Inc.
Our project managers will serve as a single point of accountability to you and your client. They will be responsible for the installation from beginning to end. Usually in 2-3 days, Solar Works will install all mounting systems, solar equipment, electrical components, instrumentation and metering. We'll coordinate inspections for utilities and building departments.
Solar Works will warrant the photovoltaic (PV) system to be free from defects for 5 (five) years from installation. In addition, the manufacturers of the photovoltaic (PV) panels that we install, typically provide a 25 year warranty on the modules themselves. Solar Works also offers annual service contracts for routine maintenance and repairs.
